St. Comán’s Day Charity Walk

Weather-permitting, the annual St. Comán’s Day Walk for charity will take place on the 26th of December starting at 11 am from St. Comán’s Church of Ireland in Roscommon Town.

Inspired by the Dysart Rural Men’s Group, this walk is in its fifth year and its aims are to help support local charities and also to celebrate an important date in Roscommon’s history as the 26th of December is also the feast day of the patron saint of Roscommon, St. Comán. The walk is just over one mile long and over the last four years has raised money for different local charities and proceeds from this year’s walk will benefit the Dysart Rural Men’s Group.

There are numerous men’s groups/sheds all over Ireland which provide an opportunity for men to meet and have a chat and participate in various activities which need to be funded adequately and ensure this good work continues. The Dysart Rural Men’s Group are asking the community near and far to join them on this short and important walk.

This event is organised by Dysart Rural Men’s Group which is run under the auspices of Roscommon LEADER Partnership. Children are very welcome to attend under adult supervision.
