The Roscommon International Film Festival will return to Roscommon Arts Centre for its fourth year on Friday and Saturday, October 23 and 24.
The two-day festival will showcase independent cinema from Ireland and around the world, bringing emerging filmmakers and established talent together in Roscommon Town.
Specially curated screening blocks will cover genres including drama, comedy, horror, thriller, documentary, animation and children’s film.
This year’s event will also feature Scannáin Ghaeilge, a dedicated programme of Irish-language cinema presented as part of Cultúr 2026.
The screening will showcase work by Irish filmmakers and celebrate storytelling through Gaeilge on the big screen. Participating filmmakers will join audiences for an Irish-language question-and-answer session following the films.
Ahead of the main festival, a free RIFF Script to Screen event will take place at Roscommon Arts Centre from 2 pm to 4 pm on Thursday, October 22. Advance booking is essential.
The full festival programme and screening times are expected to be announced in early October.
Tickets for individual festival days cost €30, while a weekend pass is available for €50.
