Rathcroghan Visitor Centre in Tulsk will host a number of special events as part of National Heritage Week.
On Wednesday, August 19th at 7 pm, the centre will host the launch of Liam Ó’Broin’s Táin Bó Cúailnge, accompanied by an exhibition of 18 ink drawings inspired by the great Cattle Raid of Cooley. The exhibition presents a contemporary artistic interpretation of the ancient story closely associated with the landscape of Rathcroghan and will remain on display until August 29th.

The following day, Thursday, August 20th at 3 pm, storytelling will accompany the launch of a new Finnbennach Bull sculpture.
Created by Longford artist Liam Kavanagh and funded through Roscommon LEADER Partnership, the stainless-steel sculpture represents Finnbennach, the White Bull of Connacht, and will serve as a new landmark for Tulsk. Both events take place at Rathcroghan Visitor Centre.
