The funeral of Ballinagare man, Robert Brady, whose body was recovered from a river near Frenchpark, Co. Roscommon last Sunday evening, will take place today (Thursday) at The Sacred Heart Church, Ballinagare.

Robert, aged 62 from Hermitage, Ballacullia, Ballinagare, was reported missing last Saturday and his body was recovered at approximately 5.30 pm last Sunday following a search involving Gardaí, Roscommon Civil Defence, the Garda Water Unit and local residents.

He added that he had an “amazing affinity with animals” and had worked for many years to improve their welfare.

Robert Brady is mourned by his wife Ethel, five children, his mother Teresa, sisters, brothers, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchild, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.
