Giant puppetry, aerial circus, fire performance and live music will feature at Motion Chapel in Granlahan, Co. Roscommon, as part of Culture Night Late on Friday, September 18th.
The event begins at 9 pm with Ephemera, an outdoor production by Irish spectacle company VolkiDána. The performance combines giant puppetry, aerial acrobatics, dance, fire and procession, and follows the story of an ancient deity awakening for a final journey across the earth.
The evening will also include performances from Cikada Circus and storyteller Daniel Galvin.
From 11 pm, the event will move indoors, where disco-punk live-looping artist Death Milkshake will perform.
Motion Chapel is a new arts organisation focused on contemporary circus in County Roscommon. Based in a restored monastery in Granlahan, it is developing a year-round space for circus creation, training and performance.
Food will be available on the night from MK Bía, while Brewpoint Coffee will also be on site.
The event is free to attend, but advance booking is required.
