Virgin Media Ireland recently crunched the numbers on 20 of Ireland’s biggest summer music festivals to find out which one is the best for capturing the ‘moment’ – scoring each one on the light, the scenery, the summer weather, the social media buzz and the mobile coverage that lets you ‘share it all in real time’.
Of this national list, Roscommon’s very own ‘Night & Day Festival’ – hosted in Lough Key Forest Park outside Boyle – ranked an impressive seventh place.
The three-day event, held from Friday, May 29th to Sunday, May 31st 2026, was particularly praised by Virgin Media representatives for both its good mobile coverage, and it’s “gorgeous home”, with the surrounding lake, woods and castle ruins being described as “ticking every box on our scenery list”.
