Yellow rainfall warning for Co. Roscommon

County Roscommon is under a Status Yellow rainfall warning which will come into effect at 5 p.m. this evening and remain in place until 6 a.m. on Saturday morning.

The rainfall from ‘Storm Betty’ is expected to bring strong winds to the south coast of Ireland later tonight which has led to a Status Orange wind and rainfall warning for counties Cork, Waterford and Kilkenny and a Status Yellow rainfall warning for the rest of the country.

Met Éireann is forecasting heavy rain with thundery downpours, with the potential for spot flooding and difficult travelling conditions.
