Bank of Scotland (Ireland) this week announced the expansion of its regional asset finance team with the appointment of William Day to the newly created position of Area Sales Manager for the West of Ireland. William Day (36), a native of Ballinasloe, Co. Galway, will have responsibility for the development and growth of the bank’s motor and commercial asset finance book throughout the region and will lead a team of four providing asset finance solutions across Galway, Mayo, Sligo and Roscommon. William joined Bank of Scotland (Ireland) in 2007 from GE Money where he held various sales management positions in asset finance. Commenting on the appointment, Ronan Horgan, Asset Finance Sales Director, Bank of Scotland (Ireland) said: ‘William brings with him a wealth of asset finance experience. The development of our sales operations in the West of Ireland is a key driver for growth in the division. The West is an area with significant potential and Bank of Scotland (Ireland) is committed to developing its asset finance operations in the region. With the appointment of William, I am confident that we can continue to grow and expand our business regionally.’ William and his locally recruited team of Nigel Buckley, Donnachadh Murphy and Eamonn Hughes will work under the direction of Enda Moynihan, Regional Sales Manager for Asset Finance.
