Ten ladies will take to the stage this Sunday (June 6th) at the Abbey Hotel in a bid to be crowned the 2022 Roscommon Rose, and to go forward to represent the county in the International Rose of Tralee Festival later this year.
Last weekend, the Roses and Escorts were treated to a marvellous fun-filled workout evening at Full Body Workhouse in Roscommon, followed by refreshments sponsored by Coffee House 45 in Longford.
The June Bank Holiday weekend will see each of the Roses go through an individual, group and stage interview in front of three judges. The compere at the selection is radio presenter and DJ Fergal D’Arcy, who will conduct the stage interview with each of the Roses.
The main sponsor for the event are Callington Ltd. under the guidance of Martin Conneally and the Drea family in Tullamore. Tickets for the event are available by contacting the committee through the Roses, Escorts or Facebook.
“Everyone is looking forward to the event and once again the standard of competitors is extremely high,” states Roscommon Rose Centre chairperson and co-coordinator, Yvonne Corrigan Donohue.
“It is fantastic that again this year, our Roscommon Rose will get to experience the International Festival in Tralee and take part in the live televised finals.
“One again, the support from businesses throughout the County of Roscommon is absolutely fantastic and is testament to how highly regarded the Roscommon Rose of Tralee event is”.
The Roscommon Rose Team wish all the 2022 Roses and Escorts the very best of luck in the competition.
