We meet the fans…on the road to Croker

With Roscommon’s Connacht Final win very fresh in the memory, and with the countdown underway to an All-Ireland quarter-final, the Roscommon People has embarked on a special campaign….meeting the people behind Roscommon GAA!

We’ve set off on a ‘GAA Roadshow’ as Roscommon’s most widely-read newspaper gets out and about and meets the fans!

The Roscommon People is locally owned and locally produced. We’re in the heart of the community and our aim is to always support everything that’s positive about County Roscommon.

With football fever sweeping the county following Roscommon’s exciting win over Galway, we’re calling to villages and towns to sample the atmosphere amongst GAA supporters and the public at large.

On Tuesday night SEAMUS DUKE hosted an All-Ireland series chat with some well-known personalities in the renowned Roscommon GAA pub, Down The Hatch.

On Wednesday morning, DAN DOONER assembled a cast of GAA enthusiasts in Loughglynn, where the presence of the Nestor Cup was a reminder of the excitement that has gripped the county!

In next week’s Roscommon People we’ll be reporting from a number of further locations as we join Roscommon’s passionate fans on the road to Croker!
