Williamstown Dramatic Society make their debut at Roscommon Arts Centre on Friday 9th May with Wake in the West, a three-act comedy set in the West of Ireland. Set in the 1960s, the story centres on what can go wrong when someone makes a will and it falls into the wrong hands with the result that a neighbour’s last wishes are being carried out instead of the recently deceased. Of course, no Irish village would be complete without a nosey character who likes to put her nose in where it isn’t wanted. And though Rose is coming up on eighty years of age she is a sprightly old dear who managed to get herself into one or two unladylike position with hilarious consequences. Author Michael Joe Ginnelly a native of Mulranny, County Mayo had Wake in the West first produced in Westport 2005. This production is produced under the guidance of Mary Scahill Flynn and promises to be a night of hilarious comedy with even funnier consequences. Booking 090 66 25824.
