Following the childminding consultation period last year, Roscommon County Childcare Committee (CCC), as local agents of the Department of Children and Youth Affairs (DCYA), have been asked to look at setting up childminding networks locally. These networks will be established as part of the upcoming National Childminding Action Plan.
The network is about building and establishing relationships between childminders and Roscommon CCC, as well as providing an opportunity for peer support from other childminders. It is also about identifying the training and development needs of childminders within the county of Roscommon. The Childminding Development Officer for Mayo, Roscommon, Clare and Galway, Heather McColl and staff of Roscommon CCC will also be present.
Roscommon CCC would like to invite all childminders in County Roscommon to an initial free online network event from 6.30-7.30 pm on Monday, August 31st.
