Two men arrested after major drugs find

 

Two men were arrested last Thursday (October 24th) following the discovery of  €200,000 worth of drugs at a wooded area near Ballinasloe.

  Gardaí said the men were arrested in connection with the discovery of cannabis and cocaine which had been stored in several containers and buried in the ground.

  The search had been part of ongoing investigations targeting organised criminal groups operating in the western region.

  The two men arrested in connection with the discovery were brought to Mill Street Garda Station. They were later released and a file was prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions. Investigations are ongoing.
