Two men were injured and taken to hospital following a collision between a car and a van on the main Roscommon to Athlone Road last Friday night. The accident happened shortly after half-past eight. Both men were brought to Roscommon County Hospital and one man was later transferred to hospital in Galway suffering from serious but not life-threatening injuries. The road was closed for a considerable time afterwards.
