Tulsk farmer to address major agricultural conference

One of Ireland’s most visionary agri-food leaders, Denis Brosnan, will deliver the keynote address. Former CEO and Chairman of the Kerry Group, Denis Brosnan is credited as the driving force behind the success of the multinational food and ingredients company.

Also presenting at the conference is returning Nuffield Scholar, Ed Payne, a dairy farmer from Tulsk in Roscommon. Ed was awarded the prestigious Nuffield Scholarship in 2016 and in 2017 he travelled to USA, Canada, India, Qatar, Turkey and the UK as part of his Nuffield Scholarship and his report focusses on what farmers can do to address the labour shortage by creating a place of work that people will want to work in.

Nuffield Ireland is an independent organisation which identifies future leaders in the Irish agricultural sector and through scholarships, featuring international travel, facilitates their ambition to bring about meaningful change. The Irish organisation is part of a valuable global network through its linkages with Nuffield International.
