Toy City in Roscommon moving to new location

One of Roscommon town’s premier commercial outlets, Toy City, is moving to a fabulous, new central location.   Toy City, based in recent years at Golf Links Road, Roscommon, is re-locating to The Harrison Centre, Roscommon (across from Tesco).   Proprietor Mr. Noel O’Connor told the Roscommon People that the existing Toy City had closed its doors earlier this week in advance of the move to the new location.   Enthusiastic about the new state-of-the-art premises, which is in the heart of Roscommon’s bustling commercial area, Mr. O’Connor said: ‘Toy City will be re-opening in two or three weeks and it will be bigger and better than ever!’   Mr. O’Connor, an Elphin native, currently owns Toy City stores in Roscommon, Sligo, Galway, Athlone and Longford as well as Eason’s outlets in Roscommon and Longford.   He will employ ‘eight or nine’ staff in the new Toy City. The new building, currently being completed, is a spacious, modern, two-storey premises which will stock a vast array of toys aimed at children of all ages.
