Tisrara NS’s debut in the Aviva Stadium

Tisrara National School pupils pictured with Irish rugby star and ALDI brand ambassador James Ryan during a recent visit to the Aviva Stadium as part of the ALDI Play Rugby National Festival.

On Wednesday, April 17th, pupils from Tisrara NS travelled to Dublin to participate in the ALDI Play Rugby National Festival in the Aviva Stadium.

In March, the Four Roads pupils played in a tag rugby blitz hosted by Creggs RFC, and out of 77 schools in Connacht, Tisrara NS were fortunate to be one of the five lucky schools selected to proceed to Dublin.

Pupils from Tisrara National School visited the Aviva Stadium recently as part of the ALDI Play Rugby National Festival, where they met Irish rugby star and ALDI brand ambassador Paul O’Connell.

On the day, they played tag rugby against schools from across the country. They also enjoyed a tour of the home dressing room and saw the Six Nations trophy. They met some Irish rugby ambassadors, including James Ryan and Paul O’Connell, who signed autographs and posed for photographs with the children. Paul O’Connell even lined out for Tisrara NS in one of their games!

Many thanks to Michael Glennon and Pat O’Gorman (CRDOs) Creggs Rugby Club, ALDI and the IRFU for inviting the pupils to such a special event. It was a wonderful day, thoroughly enjoyed by the pupils, teachers, and parents from Tisrara NS.
