Timeseven, an exhibition by a group of seven artists at the home of one member of the group, got underway on June 1st. The exhibition at the home of Siobhán Cox Carlos, was launched by Hughie Baxter on Friday evening last. Three of the group, Stephanie Cuddy-Cullen, Gillian Gannon and Kristy Verenga are part of the new Art Lane Studios in Roscommon town and held their first group exhibition last Christmas. American born Kristy was recently awarded the prestigious TRADE travel award and she will travel to India later in the year. Stephanie, meanwhile, established and is running the new Roscommon School of Art in Roscommon town. Siobhan Cox Carlos, who is hosting and curating her exhibition in her home ‘Mandala’ outside Strokestown, is known for her vibrant, colourful abstractions on life’s little moments. Painter Gillian Gannon is a well-known face on the arts scene in Roscommon where her exhibitions are always popular. The other members of the group are Sarah Curran from Galway, Teresa O’Gara from Mayo, Pauline Philips from Foxford.
