Tarmonbarry Macra wins Club of the year

Tarmonbarry Macra Na Feirme recently won the title of Roscommon Club of the year for the second year running. This is awarded to the most active and successful club in the county each year. The Chairperson this week thanked all members who took part in competitions and who helped out during the year. The club have helped out to raise money for St Barry’s GAA club and for St Vincent De Paul in 2008. ‘We would like to thank all our sponsors who supported us during the year: Cllr Eugene Murphy, Roscommon VEC, The Lodge Bar, The Shannon Bar, Keenan’s, The Purple Onion, An Siopa, Londis and all the people from Tarmon and beyond who attended our events.’ Tarmonbarry Macra presents, ‘Too Long an Autumn’ and ‘Corner Shop’ in the Backstage Theatre, Longford Friday 13th June at 8.30 pm.
