Today, the Roscommon People – your locally-owned community newspaper – partners with Roscommon Chamber of Commerce to launch a positive multimedia campaign in advance of Christmas 2020.
#RoscommonTogether is a celebration of the wonderful spirit within our community, a spirit which has been much in evidence throughout this traumatic year.
Because of Covid-19, 2020 has thus far been an incredibly challenging year for everybody…in terms of the health implications for society, the devastating economic fall-out, and the resulting impact on the mental health and wellbeing of our people.
We’ve had to be strong, disciplined, resilient. Just now, there are positive signs with regard to renewed efforts to curb the virus. Speculation about a possible major breakthrough in relation to developing a vaccine has lifted the mood of the nation – the world indeed – this week.
Our #RoscommonTogether campaign is a collaboration between Roscommon Chamber and the Roscommon People. The campaign will run in the weekly edition of the Roscommon People newspaper and also across all our social media platforms, and those of the Chamber.
Watch out for some eye-catching videos, photographs, interviews, and lots of positive posts about our county town, its businesses and its people.
This has been an incredibly difficult year for our SMEs, as for society as a whole. We’re reminding our thousands of readers to please shop local over the coming weeks. Please avail of the many Click & Collect options being provided by local businesses. If shopping online, please do so with Roscommon businesses!
Keep an eye on the social media platforms of the Roscommon People and Roscommon Chamber from today – every day – for more updates! Thank you, and stay safe.
