The Roscommon Lions Tesco Christmas Food Appeal was a great success, with €1089 worth of food donated.
The food is being distributed throughout Christmas to the most needy families by Roscommon St Vincent de Paul Society.
Noel Connolly, President, Roscommon Lions Club said: “On behalf of the Club I would like to thank people for their generous response to the Food Appeal.
“I would also like to thank the public for contributing €1330 to the recent Lions Club Church Gate Collection which will go directly to Lions Club charity causes.
“Thanks to our members and other volunteers who very kindly helped with the Food Appeal and the Church Gate collection.”
