Fine Gael Senator Maura Hopkins has stated that the announcement of clinics to help farmers with their online BPS applications is very positive for those involved across Roscommon and Galway.
Senator Hopkins stated: “For the first time this year, all BPS applications have to be made online. I am well aware that this has posed challenges for many farmers who may need assistance with technology. The announcement of these clinics in addition to existing supports for farmers is very important.
“A Clinic will be held in Hannon’s Hotel, Roscommon Town on Tuesday, 10th of April between 4 pm and 7.30 pm and in the Shearwater Hotel, Ballinasloe on Friday, 13th of April between 9 am and 12.30 pm.
“At these clinics, farmers will be able to sit down with officials from the Department of Agriculture and make their online applications on the day. I would encourage farmers to attend these clinics in order to progress their applications in the simplest way possible”.
