VIP Style Award nominee Daithi O’Shea has joined in his support of local charity Western Alzheimers and has recently launched the group’s largest annual fundraising event. Tea Day 2008 will be held in venues through Roscommon, Galway and Mayo on Friday April 4th. Western Alzheimers is the main provider of care for the increasing number of people suffering from Alzheimer Disease in the west of Ireland. Approximately 80 families in County Roscommon received assistance from the organisation through our Roscommon Branch in 2007. 1,768 weekly breaks were provided in our two homes Marian House in Ballindine, Co. Mayo and Maryfield in Athenry Co. Galway. Respite services are used regularly by families from Roscommon. Proceeds of our fundraising events help fund these services.
