Sunshine greets future of luxury housing in Roscommon!

Final touches were being applied in brilliant sunshine when the Roscommon People paid a visit to the new Oldwood Development on Tuesday afternoon.

The sun was ‘splitting the stones’ and local men were hard at work on this major new housing development in the heart of Roscommon town.

On site to meet us were David Diffley of Property Partners Earley and James Reilly, one of the directors of the local company which is responsible for this development.

A quick tour of the two showhouses which are open to the public this Saturday provided clear evidence of the exceptional quality of ‘finish.’

The two showhouses, as well as being expertly built, have been fitted out beautifully by a number of local businesses.

Staying loyal to locals is high on the agenda of Reimas Development Ltd., the company run by four local brothers.

They are David, James, John and Michael Reilly from Kilteevan.

James told the Roscommon People that they have been concentrating on employing local people in the actual construction process, engaging local tradespeople and purchasing from local suppliers.

A number of houses have already been built (and sold) and when the development is finished, there will be 60 houses in all. Each house will have a tarmac driveway and fenced rear garden.

The standard of interior design in the showhouses is fabulous and house-hunters are sure to be tempted by the warmth and sheer luxury of these beautiful modern homes, which are likely to appeal to people of all ages, ranging from young couples to people nearing or already in retirement.

“The ones we’ve sold have attracted owner-occupiers (as opposed to investors)” David Diffley said, by way of alluding to the popularity of the location.

“I think this development has caught the imagination for a range of reasons…they are new and fresh, they have A-rated energy efficiency…they have a quality finish and they are superbly located.”

As David brought the Roscommon People on tour of the beautifully finished showhouses, James Reilly was busy to-ing and fro-ing, those final touches being applied as the countdown continued to Showhouse Day this Saturday.  The newly-lain tarmac glistened in the sun and this beautiful development looked like the future of luxury housing in Roscommon town.
