Successful Halloween Walk in aid of Ballymurray National School

Organisers of the successful annual fun Halloween Walk in aid of Ballymurray National School would like to thank everyone who came along and supported the event on Bank Holiday Monday.

Thanks to all the great members of the Parents Association for all their hard work, Mote Park Conservation Group for their constant dedication in protecting the forest, Volunteer Roscommon Group for helping out in abundance on the day, the Ukrainian refugees from Donamon who worked with us to build props and who provided entertainment, Knockcroghery’s Ukulele band for the wonderful music, Gerry Jago for his spookiness(!), Colm Noone for this wonderful tea and coffee trailer, and Brendan Glennon and Roscommon Vintage cars for providing the vehicles. Thanks to all the business in Roscommon town who provided spot prizes and the local Gardaí for assisting with traffic on the day.

The Halloween event was a great success, with music, a spook station, face-painting, roasted marshmallows, dance entertainers, a witches’ corner, storytelling, a graveyard, Harry Potter delights, vintage cars, games and much more. An amazing day was had by all!

Thanks again for supporting.
