With the results of Daffodil Day 2024 in Roscommon Town, Ballyforan community, and Kilteevan now finalised, the local voluntary organisers wish to thank the public for their generous financial support, and for their donation of fresh daffodils, which no doubt adds greatly to the spirit and colour of the day. A total of €19,549.33 was raised.

Thanks to JJ Harlow’s Pub, and Kilteevan Community Development Group for holding coffee mornings. Thanks to Sean Doyle, Owencrest Properties, and Gleeson’s for the use of their premises’ to operate from. Thanks to local businesses for allowing counter boxes in their premises or volunteers selling daffodils inside or outside their shops. Thanks to the Roscommon People, Roscommon Herald, and the Parish Newsletter for their publicity.

Without dedicated volunteers, Daffodil Day would not be possible, so sincere thanks to all for their involvement in the week. Special thanks to all who come out every year on Daffodil Day, regardless of the weather, to sell daffodils. Your cooperation and assistance is much appreciated.

The organisers hope everyone will be in a position to participate again next year in order to support the Irish Cancer Society in providing vital services to cancer patients and their families. Thank you for your continued support.
