Roscommon Ladies U 14 footballers tasted provincial success last Sunday evening when they defeated Leitrim in the Connacht B final in Bornacoola. Final score: Roscommon 6-8 Leitrim 1-7. The team had already beaten Sligo and Leitrim but they lost to Galway and Mayo. The Roscommon panel is: Maggie Wallace, Jane McGowan, Niamh Toolan, Dareca Beirne, Deirdre Regan, Sanrda Deery, Rebecca Coyle, Maeve Holmes, Kaite McLoughlin, Joanne Cregg, Natalie McHugh, Kylie Roddy, Aine Kelly, Siobhan Greevy, Laura Brudell, Gillian Dufficy, Shena Rogers, Rhona McDonagh. The team are managed by Brendan Cregg and they now go forward to an All-Ireland quarter-final. The opponents for that game will not be known until, this weekend but the game is expected to be played on July 8th/9th.
