Aidan Fallon, a cyclist from Strokestown, completed the gruelling Mizen to Malin Head Solo Supported Cycle Race over the weekend in an amazing 19 hours and 22 minutes.
Cycling almost 600km up the entire length of the country in terrible weather conditions, Aidan left Mizen head in Cork, the most southern point on the island of Ireland, at 7 am on Saturday and arrived at Malin Head in Co Donegal in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Even more impressively, only a year ago Aidan was recovering from a broken pelvis after a cycling accident while on holiday in Mallorca.
Friends, family and supporters have been taking to social media to offer congratulation to Aidan on his wonderful achievement.
