Strokestown launch tonight for Eoghan’s new book

The local launch of a new book by Strokestown native Eoghan Egan will take place in the Percy French Hotel, Strokestown tonight (Thursday) at 8 pm.

‘The Other Side of Fear’ will be launched by Paul Healy, Editor of the Roscommon People. The book is the second instalment in the Ganestown Trilogy, a crime fiction series set in the Irish Midlands. Eoghan released the first book in the series, ‘Hiding in Plain Sight’, in 2020, and has started work on the trilogy’s third and final instalment.

  Eoghan’s stories have been shortlisted for the 2018 Bridport Short Story Prize and Listowel’s 2019 Bryan MacMahon Short Story Award Competition, as well as having been published in various anthologies.

  ‘The Other Side of Fear’ launches at 8 pm in The Percy French Hotel on Thursday, April 28th, where Eoghan Egan will be in conversation with Paul Healy (author, editor, managing director of Roscommon People) and Senator Eugene Murphy. Admission is free and all are welcome to attend. See for more.
