Storytelling in Glenamaddy

Baboro International Arts Festival for Children includes a date at the lovely Glenamaddy Library on Saturday, 20th October at 11.30 pm.  Go along and you will hear stories and tales from around the world told by award-winning Australian storyteller Andrew McKenna. Through words, music, mime and masks, Andrew performs a variety of stories that are humorous, whimsical, beautiful and fun! The programme is open to age five plus and an interesting session is envisaged. Admission, which is usually €5, will be waived in the interest of social inclusion. All children over five are welcome. Enquiries to Librarian Mary Donelan during Library opening hours. Also congratulations and well done to the children’s drama group and their producers Tony Worrall and Leanne Pye on their recent production of two one act plays ‘Ghost Writer’ and ‘In Service’. The 23 children ranging in age from seven to 12 and representing five different national schools, performed to a capacity audience in the Town Hall Theatre on September the 22nd last and all proceeds were donated to the Theatre.
