A number of households and businesses in the county were left without electricity and telephone services following the strong storms on Tuesday night last. It’s understood around 200 people in the county lost their electricity supply while about 100 eircom customers were without the use of their telephone services. An electricity line fell at Castle Street in Roscommon Town and about 100 people in the town were affected by that power cut. The Electricity Supply Board and eircom said that all customers had power and telephone services restored by Wednesday evening.
