Storm Debi has caused major disruption around the county. One of the county’s most famous landmarks, Strokestown Park House and National Famine Museum has had to remain closed today due to a power outage caused by the storm.
In a Facebook post earlier, Strokestown Park said:
“Due to Storm Debi and the power outage it has caused at Strokestown Park, please be aware we will remain closed until the electricity returns due to health and safety. We will also be unable to return phone calls or emails during this time. We will update here once we are able to open.”
ESB Networks have also been tirelessly working to re-connect other homes and businesses that have been out of power around the county with thousands of customers still waiting to be restored.
