The St. Dominic’s GAA Club brings its dancing extravaganza fundraiser ‘St. Dominic’s Strictly’ to the Hodson Bay Hotel this Easter Weekend, in what promises to be a unique and memorable event for both audience and competitors alike!
28 hard-working volunteers from inside the club and further afield, have generously spent the last four months honing their dancing skills and routines to perfection under the guidance of Ms. Trisha McDermott of the McDermott School of Ballet.
With a ‘Night at the Movies’ theme for inspiration, audiences can look forward to plenty of ‘Disco Fever’, ‘Bollywood Boogies’ and ‘Footloose Frolics’, as the dancing stars show off the fruits of their labour.
Of course not only will they be seeking audience approval on the night, but more importantly they will vie to impress the all-important judges! Assessing the merits of their dancing prowess is a stellar line-up of well-known personalities, including, amongst others, Dancing with the Stars’ Katherine Lynch, The Sunday Game’s Dessie Dolan, former Government Minister Mary O’Rourke and St. Dominic’s own Stiofán Ó’Fearail, of the popular band Seo Linn.
As both shows on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th are sold out, a family friendly show has been added on Good Friday (April 14th) with tickets priced at €20 for adults and €5 for U-18s.
