St Croan’s suffer penalty heartbreak in Connacht JFC semi-final

There was heartbreak for St Croan’s in the AIB Connacht JFC semi-final when they went out on penalties to Mayo champions Kiltimagh in Ballyforan. The Roscommon champions came from six points down with just 10 minutes to go (2-8 to 0-8) to level the scores at 1-11 to 2-8 with the goal coming from Callum Pacey. There was no separating the sides in extra time and with the score at 1-14 to 2-11 and the issue was decided on penalties. In the shootout Kiltimagh won by three goals to two.
