Spotlight on FA Cup this weekend

After a hectic Christmas Festival period it’s a quiet weekend coming up on the horseracing front. This week we will take a look at the revised betting for the Champion Hurdle in Cheltenham which is now only 10 weeks away.   It is as follows: 9/2 Sublimity, 7/1 Osasuna, 8/1 Harchibald, 10/1 Katchit, 10/1 Sizing Europe, 12/1 Straw Bear, 14/1 Al Eile, 16/1 Bar.   Sublimity is the fancied choice to land a two-in-a-row of hurdle titles, however Harchibald remains a big threat and could win if produced late in Cheltenham in March.   This weekend see the third round of the FA Cup take place in the UK and the featured matches are as follows: Aston Villa 11/4 v Manchester United 8/11; Draw 5/2. Spurs 1-2  v Reading 5/1; Draw 11/4. West Ham 1/1 v Man. City 9/4; Draw 9/4.    FA Cup outright betting: Chelsea 4/1, Man. Utd. 5/1, Arsenal 5/1, Liverpool 11/2, Spurs 16/1, Everton 22/1, 33/1 bar. A rejuventated Spurs could be the value bet here at 16/1. Bet of the week We are starting off a new weekly charity bet for the year of 2008. Evey week we will be having a €20 bet on a sporting fixture or fixtures or event(s) and hopefully, if we are ahead at the end of the year we will be giving the profits to charity. We will update how we are doing here every week.   Our first charity bet is a €20 double on Man.  Utd. (8/11) and Spurs 1-2 to win in the FA Cup. The double works out at 13/8. Fingers crossed!
