Ballinasloe on the brink Ballinasloe Town took a major step towards winning the Ruby Oil sponsored Premier Division of the Roscommon and District league when they beat Skyvalley Rovers 1 – 0 in Onagh Park, Taughmaconnell. A single point from their remaining game away to Castlerea Celtic will seal the premier Division Title for Ballinasloe Town. With fourteen minutes left to play, Shane Duffy crossed into the penalty area and former Skyvalley Rovers player Robbie Brooks scored the only goal of the game from close range. Cloonfad United 1 Castlerea Celtic 0: Nearest challengers Castlerea Celtic were beaten 1 – 0 in Cloonfad. A single goal scored by David Keavney ended Castlerea Celtic’s hopes of winning the Premier Division. Dysart FC 6 Ballymoe FC 0: Dysart still have a chance of wining the title following a 6 – 0 win over Ballymoe FC in Dysart. James Coyne and Keith Waldron gave Dysart a 2 – 0 advantage at the break and Coyne completed his hat trick after the break. Mark Higgins and Paul Gately added the remaining goals for Dysart. Shiven Rovers 0 Glen Celtic 2: Glen Celtic kept their hopes of avoiding relegation alive by beating Shiven Rovers 2 – 0 in Newbridge. Michael Geraghty and Thomas Curtin scored for Glen Celtic in the second half.  Moore United 1 Kilkerrin United 1: Moore United and Kilkerrin United play out a 1 – 1 draw in Moore. The result means Moore United are now safe from relegation while Glen Celtic and Kilkerrin United must wait for the last series of games to decide who gets relegated. Ballymoe FC are already relegated. John Greene scored early for Moore United and Ollie Stephens got a valuable goal for Kilkerrin United with almost the last kick of the game. DIVISION ONE CUP  Manor United 1 Strokestown United 5: Strokestown United beat Manor United 5 – 1 in Manor. Conor Silke scored two and David Parker and John Hagan added one each. The fifth goal came by way of an own goal. Rahara Rovers 2 Moylough 79 2: Rahara Rovers were made to battle all the way before finally overcoming Moylough following a penalty shoot out. The sides finished normal time at 1 – 1 and extra time at 2 – 2 with Rahara Rovers winning the resultant shoot out 5 – 4. Barry Nestor opened the scoring for Rahara Rovers in the first half and John Kelly equalised after sixty-five minutes. Tom Cheevers scored for Moylough in the first period of extra time and Barry Nestor replied for Rahara Rovers a minute later. ROSCOMMON CASEY FORD DIVISION THREE KC Celtic 2 Rahara Rovers B 2: KC Celtic drew 2 – 2 at home to Rahara Rovers in Division three. Mike Coen and scored both goals for the Kilconnell side and John Caulfield and Vando replied for Rahara Rovers.
