Skyvalley Rovers go into this game as the underdogs, but in the semi final they turned the form book upside down with a good win over an under par Castlerea Celtic. On paper Ballinasloe Town look the stronger of the two sides in the final, but with the fighting spirit of Rovers it will not be easy for the Town. Let’s start at the back with Benny Lynch in goal who has had an outstanding season for Rovers. He is aided by defenders Nigel Brookes and Fergal Costello, both of whom had good games in the win over Castlerea Celtic. This gives Rovers a very strong back four and with the likes of David Grehan and John Galvin up front, they will be a handful for the Ballinasloe Town back four. Rovers will have to be on top form to win this game, but the spirit in the camp could upset the party and win the cup, denying Ballinasloe Town the double.
