Sister act continues as fourth sister gives birth!

The remarkable story of the three Cloonfad sisters who gave birth on the one day continued last weekend, when a fourth sibling had her fourth child.

Christina Murray, whose due date was the previous Sunday, gave birth to a daughter, Annalise, at 6.12 pm last Friday in Mayo General Hospital, Castlebar.

The arrival of Annalise, who weighed 8lbs 10oz, brought joy to Christina and her husband, Alan.

They live with their two sons – Dylan, eight, and Nathan, four – and their daughter, Leah, three, in Kiltevna, near Dromore, Co. Galway.   Christina is from nearby Cloonfad, like her three sisters – Mairéad, Jolene and Bernie – who had all given birth in Castlebar three days previously.

Mairéad Fitzpatrick gave birth to Tomás Óg; Jolene Godfrey gave birth to Sorcha; Bernie Warde gave birth to Phelim.  Christina said: “There was great excitement with the other three born on the one day, so it was a bit disappointing that mine wasn’t born that day!”
