Short passes with Seamus Duke

*Roscommon U-21s team beat Donegal by 2-9 to 2-5 last week in Ballyforan in what was a very competitive game. Conor Devanney and Ronan Martin scored the goals for Roscommon for whom David Flynn lined out at full-back. *Roscommon U-21 team will play their final challenge game prior to their championship game in two weeks’ time when they face Cork on Saturday next.  *Defending county champions St. Brigids did not have it all their own way in the first round of the 2008 leagues against Western Gaels last Sunday. They won by 0-10 to 0-8 in the end. Frankie Dolan and Senan Kilbride scored 0-4 each. Cathal Cregg scored 0-2 for Western Gaels.  *Sean Fahy scored three goals for Padraig Pearses as they beat Elphin by 3-6 to 1-10, also in the first round of the leagues. *There are in the region of 106 tables sold out of the projected 120 for the Roscommon GAA  Race Day fund-raiser at Punchestown in April.
