An IFA Skillnet programme to help farmers get their building costings right for grant purposes will take place in Hannon’s Hotel, Athlone Rd., Roscommon, on Thursday, 7th February, at 7.30 pm sharp. Speaking at the IFA Skillnet Seminar, Tom Ryan Machinery and Buildings Specialist with Teagasc will outline how to calculate the portion of construction costs eligible for grant aid. He will identify the costs that are admissible and how they should be apportioned when submitting costs for grant payment. The Chairman of the Irish Farm Building Contractors Association Billy McEvoy will outline the specifications and standards as set down by the Department of Agriculture, when constructing farm buildings eligible under FWM or FIS. The seminar ‘Farm Buildings – Getting Your Costings Right’ will take place in Hannon’s Hotel, Athlone Rd., Roscommon, on Thursday, 7th February, at 7.30 pm sharp.
