Coiste Scór Ros Comáin would like to remind all clubs that the deadline for return of entry forms for the Scór Sinsear competition is this Friday, March 7th. We are willing to accept entry forms beyond this date if they are e-mailed to roscommonscor@gmail.com . The competition takes place in Culleen Hall, Lecarrow, on Good Friday Night, March 21st, at 8 pm. The Seachtain na Gaeilge quiz took place in the County Board Office last Friday night. In what was a very competitive event, teams from Clann na nGael, Elphin and Kilglass Gaels came out on top. Unfortunately Kilglass Gaels were unable to take part in the Connacht Final due to a prior commitment so their place will be taken by St. Brigids. We would like to thank Kilglass Gaels for supporting the competition regardless of this. It’s a pity there is not more clubs like them. The three teams now go through to the Connacht Final, which takes in the McWilliam Park Hotel, Claremorris, this Friday, March 7th at 8 pm. Another event that took place recently was the All-Ireland Final of the PTAA Readoiri competition. There were 3 Roscommon winners on the day: Grainne McDonnell (Recitation), Brenda Brennan (Solo Singing) and Tulsk (Novelty Act). All three had previously taken part in Scór na nÓg and Coiste Scór would like to extend our congratulations to all concerned.
