Members of Co. Roscommon Ploughing Association met last night in Roscommon to set a new date for the county ploughing event. At a meeting on Friday night, April 4th, it was decided to postpone the ploughing championships on Sunday, 6th April as the weather forecast for the weekend was for rain, snow, sleet and arctic winds. The decision was taken in the best interest of competitors, participants, and families attending. A new date has now been set for Sunday 19th April. Roscommon Ploughing Association regrets any inconvenience caused.
