Connacht LGFA Minor Football Championship ‘A’ Final
Roscommon v Galway on Monday, May 6th at Enfield at 6 pm
Roscommon and Galway square up at minor ‘A’ level for the second year in a row in the provincial decider when they go head to head in Ballintubber on Monday. In 2018 Galway went ahead early but Roscommon staged a late comeback which just fell short. This weekend Ollie Colgan’s team will be concentrating on getting off to a good start against what is a very strong a strong Galway side.
Roscommon have a number of excellent performers throughout the field and the likes of Sasha Lavin, Saoirse Wynne, Megan Kelly, Kelley Colgan, Oonagh Kelly, Aimee O’Connor, Ellen Irwin and Kara Earle will be hoping to lead the team to what would be a historic win against the reigning champions.
Roscommon have been getting closer and closer to the ‘big two’ in Connacht at the elite level in recent years. Hopes are very high that this very well coached and managed team can land a major Connacht title for Roscommon. They have the players and the determination to do so.
