Official opening of new bar in Ballyleague/Lanesboro
Ballyleague/Lanesboro is gearing up for the official opening of Rosie’s this Saturday (3rd) with a drinks reception and live music on the night.
Formerly The Lifebelt Bar, Rosie’s is under the new management team of James Nolan and Marie McDonnell and has been in operation for just over a month.
James, who hails from Kiltoom, has three years’ experience in managing bars in Dublin. James’ partner Marie comes from Foxford in Co. Mayo, and she is currently juggling her studies for a Masters in Social Care with managing a residential care home in Mullingar and of course helping to run Ballyleague/Lanesboro’s newest venue, Rosie’s!
James told the Roscommon People that live music and customer service is at the very heart of the bar.
“We’ve been busy here since opening, and while we’ve cleared the place up, there’s also a lot of history and we want to keep it and not make too many changes,” he said.
For James and Marie, live music is important and the bar has some top local talent lined up over the festive period.
The list is extensive and kicks off this Saturday with Buckeye who will provide the music for the official opening. There will also be a cash prize draw on the night and finger food.
Looking ahead, James said the hope is to turn Rosie’s into a great venue for live music and to provide something a little different in terms of drinks: “We are going out of our way to provide great entertainment for our customers, and there will be plenty of music on offer this month and beyond. We’re also looking to stock a selection of craft beers in the New Year, heading into summer.”
Rosie’s will be the place to be in Ballyleague/Lanesboro this Saturday, with the up and coming Buckeye and a drinks reception to officially launch the bar ahead of a busy Christmas period.
As well as being a great place to go for a drink, Rosie’s has become an extremely popular venue for parties, call 043-3321185 to book your party or event.
