Last year the Rose of the Plough competition raised a total of €3,500 and a cheque for that amount was presented to Susan Temple and Rosemary Thorpe of Roscomon County Hospital for use at the hospital’s cardiac unit and the hope was expressed that this year’s Rose event event would be just as successful. Once again the proceeds will go the cardiac rehab unit at Roscommon County Hospital.
