Fair trade Fair-trade Brand guarantees a fair deal for farmers and workers in the developing world. On Friday 8th June, the Roscommon Fairtrade Steering Group will have a stall (with Fairtrade free samples) at the farmers’ market. This will be followed by a short talk at 3.30 pm for any business interested in stocking fair-trade products. All welcome. Novena A novena to the Sacred Heart starts in the Roscommon parish on Thursday, 7th June and concludes on Friday, 15th June. Catholics are invited to make this Novena in their own homes, with friends and family or in the Parish. (Steps to excellence for Personal Success) is taking place in Vita House shortly and is for anyone who wishes to build self-esteem and self-assertiveness, move into self-motivation and lead a more positive life. Fee is variable and subsidised for suitable participants. Psychology course A one-year certificate in Psychology course affiliated to the National University of Ireland, Maynooth, commences in Vita House in early September.
