Table quiz for Goff Street residents The Goff Street/Athlone Road Residents and Business Association will hold a table quiz on Thursday 22nd May in Larry’s Pub, Goff Street. Yes bus The Fianna Fail YES bus will visit Roscommon today, Thursday May 22nd to canvass for a yes vote in the Lisbon Reform Treaty. The Minister for European Affairs, Mr Dick Roche TD, Minister of State Michael Finneran, and Roscommon Senator Terry Leyden will travel with the YES Bus. Senator Leyden will be with the bus for the duration of the morning and afternoon and Minister Roche and Minister Finneran will join it in Ballintubber at 3.35 pm. Mass broadcast Sunday morning mass from the Sacred Heart Church in Roscommon on Sunday next, May 25th, will be broadcast live on RTE radio at 10 am. Mass goers are asked to note the change of mass time from the usual 10 .30 am Mass on the day. Vigil masses on Saturday 24th will be a rehearsal for the broadcast Mass. Young Priests An afternoon of prayer will be held in Donmaon on Sunday, May 25th, starting at 3 pm and concluding with Mass at 5 pm. A meeting of ht society will be held on Tuesday, May 20th at 7 pm in St. Coman’s Club. VTOS Are you over 21 years, and unemployed or on a disability or lone parent’s allowance. Church news The May Procession, Rosary and benediction will take place at the Sacred Heart Church on Friday, 23rd May at 8 pm. All are welcome. Guided prayer A week of guided prayer will take place in Roscommon parish on Sunday, May 25th to Friday 30th. The event is aimed at anyone over 18 and the retreat can be made while continuing with everyday  life. Novena The novena to the Sacred Heart starts on Thursday 22nd May and finishes on Friday 30th May. Novena leaflets are now available in the porch at the Sacred Heart Church.
