The Roscommon senior footballers will find out who they will face in the All-Ireland Football Championship round-robin series for the Sam Maguire at 1pm this afternoon.
Davy Burke’s men are in Pot 3 in the draw and will face a provincial champion in the opening round away from home. They will then play a home game against one of the provincial runners-up in Round Two and they will finish with a game against a team from Pot 4 at a neutral venue in Round Three.
Teams who are set to meet in a provincial finals cannot be drawn in the same group. However, teams who have already played each other earlier in this year’s championships can.
The top team in each group qualifies for the All-Ireland quarter-finals, with the teams finishing second and third battling it out in an All-Ireland quarter-final preliminary match for the remaining quarter-final berths, with the second-placed team having home advantage.
The teams in each pot are listed below:
Pot 1: (Provincial Champions): Galway/Sligo, Kerry/Clare, Dublin/Louth, Armagh/Derry.
Pot 2: (Provincial Runners-Up): Galway/Sligo, Kerry/Clare, Dublin/Louth, Armagh/Derry.
Pot 3: Roscommon, Mayo, Tyrone, Monaghan.
Pot 4: Donegal, Kildare, Cork, Westmeath.
You can watch the draw live at 1pm on the GAA.ie website or their social media channels
