He also commended all the musicians who had supported the choir and the excellent committee of the Kilbride Centre.

Mr James Hoban (PRO) thanked all members of the media for their excellent support of the choir, saying they had “contributed in no small way to the fantastic success of the choir over the years”. He also thanked the management and staff of Triest Press, Roscommon, who had produced a wonderful magazine highlighting the choir’s history over the past ten years.

The following officers were elected for the coming year – Chairperson: John F Hanley; Vice-chairperson: Marie Lough; Treasurer: Siobhan Menton; Secretary: Jeanette Foley; Liaison Officer: Catherine Murray; PRO: James Hoban.

A wide range of activities is planned by the choir in the coming year including a series of concerts in June. There will be more details of these at a later stage.

In the meantime, the choir wishes to thank everyone who supports us as we bring the joy and happiness of music and singing into your lives. Remember the famous words of Ella Fitzgerald: “The only thing better than singing is more singing!”
