Roscommon SHC Previews

Roscommon Gaels v Oran (at Athleague on Sunday at 1.30 pm) This should be an excellent game. Roscommon Gaels have done really well to secure a semi final spot, but Oran need to win this one. Oran are the only team in the other six that Roscommon Gaels have not beaten in recent years since they came back to the top of Roscommon hurling. It’s also been a long time since they played their last game, so it will be interesting to see if they are rusty after such a long break. Oran’s need is greater and they might be too sharp. Prediction: Oran   St. Dominic’s v Padraig Pearse’s (at Athleague on Sunday at 3 pm) This should be straightforward enough. Dominic’s are out of contention while Pearse’s need to win. They should do so with a bit to spare. Prediction: Padraig Pearse’s   Four Roads v Athleague (at Athleague on Tuesday 21st at 7 pm) Clashes between these two teams are always close and this will be no different. Athleague look to be the strongest team in the county so far, but Four Roads are never far away. This is a tough game to call and I have a feeling that Four Roads might just edge it on this occasion, but the two sides could be meeting later on in the championship. Prediction: Four Roads
